Good afternoon, dear colleagues and guests of the meeting!
I sincerely thank the organizers for the invitation to once again take part in the meeting of the International Discussion Club and I would like to devote my speech to an important and relevant topic – the formation of the image of a successful Abkhazian woman and her role in society.
We live in a male-dominated world, therefore, today it is difficult to give an unambiguous assessment of the position of women in modern Abkhazian society.
The formation of the image of a successful Abkhazian woman occupies a central place in the context of the transition from traditional values to the challenges of modernity. At the same time, a woman’s success is no longer limited only to her professional achievements, but also includes the ability to harmoniously combine career, family life and child care. This ensures a balance between the traditional role of women and modern reality, creating a basis for the development of society as a whole. It is also important to note that modern traditions in Abkhazia today are influenced by the processes of globalization taking place all over the world.
Nevertheless, the desire to preserve and respect the fundamental Abkhazian traditions on the one hand, and the encouragement of women to education, development and self–realization on the other, creates optimal conditions for the formation of the image of a successful woman with unique qualities and abilities. Women not only make a significant contribution to the social life and cultural heritage of the country, but also fit into the established framework of public expectations, find ways to influence social processes, develop the economy and take an active part in political life. They bravely overcome many social, economic and political obstacles, often demonstrating their creative thinking, the necessary self-control and willpower.
It is worth recognizing that there is a gender imbalance in the power structures of Abkhazia, but the participation of women in business, politics, public life and many other spheres emphasizes their potential and abilities in various aspects of society. At the same time, it is worth noting that there are many women in the Public Chamber of Abkhazia, there are women ministers, judges, deputies.
Undoubtedly, there are many examples of women demonstrating outstanding achievements in various fields of activity, from business and politics to social activities and youth education. Their contribution to the development of society is invaluable, and their examples become an incentive for other women who strive for success and self-realization.
Abkhazian women entrepreneurs have performed well both in small family enterprises and large businesses. Their stories deserve attention and inspire us to create a favorable business environment.
The women of Abkhazia have never stood aside from the problems that our country was experiencing. In this regard, it is necessary to recall what role women played during the Patriotic War of the people of Abkhazia, as well as in the difficult post-war blockade years. It was a difficult time, when every day was a test of strength, and women put all their strength into fighting for economic and financial independence in conditions of the most severe economic blockade.
In the post–war period, when the women of Abkhazia faced difficulties, it only strengthened their determination and perseverance. They have become the engine of small and medium-sized businesses, demonstrating the unique qualities of entrepreneurship and willpower. Our women have become a symbol of inspiration for many aspiring to success in business and have made a significant contribution to the economic development of Abkhazia.
And today, women are successfully engaged in solving urgent problems in education and science, culture and spiritual development. Therefore, it is extremely important to support their work, activities and achievements, creating conditions for the further development of small enterprises and entrepreneurship in general.
It should be remembered that women always advocate for a healthy society, support advanced ideas, projects, technologies that unite countries.
In conclusion, I would like to wish all participants of the meeting successful and fruitful work.
