Sustainable development of the ethno-cultural sector

On September 13, 2024, a meeting of the “VISION 3000 International Discussion Club” was held at the Moscow House of Nationalities.

The agenda of the meeting was devoted to the topic: “Sustainable development of the ethno-cultural sector”.

The meeting was moderated by Alfiya Ravilyevna Amirova, President of the International Women’s Union, President of the International Discussion Club VISION 3000.

State support for ethnic traditions and cultures of the peoples of the Russian Federation is the main factor in the sustainable development of society in the ethno-cultural sphere, the realization of its spiritual potential, the preservation and strengthening of the all-Russian civic identity. Now, due to the unstable international situation, it is important for Russians to develop awareness of the uniqueness and identity of Russia through understanding the ethnocultural diversity of its peoples. Today, the authority of the ethno-cultural sector has increased, its role in creating social projects, mentoring, education, and charity has increased. The ethno—cultural sector is a base for ensuring the security and integrity of the country. Its keepers are national cultural associations.

Within the framework of the meeting of the International Discussion Club “VISION 3000”, issues affecting state integrity, national security, mutual respect for the traditions and customs of the peoples of the Russian Federation, ensuring interethnic and interreligious peace and harmony, and the development of international cooperation in the field of state national policy of the Russian Federation were discussed.

The speakers at the meeting were:

  • Olga Badma-Khalgaeva — Permanent Representative of the Republic of Mari El to the President of the Russian Federation;
  • Valiullin Renat Nakifovich – Head of the Executive Committee of the Assembly of Peoples of the Republic of Tatarstan;
  • Sviridova Elena Yuryevna is a deputy of the Council of Deputies of the Khovrino Municipal District of Moscow. A leading specialist in public relations at the State Budgetary Institution Moscow House of Public Organizations;
    Smirnova Anna Anatolyevna – Deputy Head of the Department of the Representative Office of the Government of Sevastopol in Moscow;
  • Kuzmina Maria Mikhailovna — Representative Office of Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug — Yugra. Topic of the report: “Development of the ethnocultural sector of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug – Yugra within the framework of international cooperation”;
  • Velichkina Ekaterina Andreevna is an expert and a member of the Popular Front team and the “Putin Team”.   Topic of the presentation: “Preservation of ethnic and cultural identity in the context of globalization: The role of family values in the sustainable development of national and cultural associations of Russia”;
  • Ermilova Maria Igorevna – Head of the Business Hub of the BRICS International Consortium, Financial Adviser, Ph.D. in Economics, Associate Professor at Plekhanov Russian University of Economics. Topic of the report: “Business education as part of the ethno-cultural segment in the context of sustainable development of the BRICS countries”;
  •  Galibina Elena Gennadievna — President of the BRICS International Consortium, member of the Council on Financial, Industrial and Investment Policy of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation. The topic of the report is “Digitalization and the ethno-cultural sector: opportunities and threats for the BRICS countries.”

A cooperation agreement was signed during the meeting. The agreement was signed by the President of the International Women’s Union, Amirova Alfiya, and the President of the Center for International and Cultural Business Cooperation “Culture for Life”, Galina Merzlikina, whose main goal is to organize effective interaction aimed at developing cultural ties based on independence, equality and mutual respect for rights and legitimate interests.

After the speakers’ speeches and answers to questions, the participants continued to communicate in an informal setting.
