On January 26, 2024, the first meeting of the “International Discussion Club “VISION 3000” took place this year at the Moscow House of Nationalities
The agenda of the meeting was devoted to the topic: “Family and traditional family values as a factor of national security of society.”

The meeting was opened by Alfiya Amirova, President of the International Women’s Union, President of the International Discussion Club VISION 3000.
The family is the foundation of the State and represents the environment in which people, with some exceptions, develop throughout their lives or a significant part of it. The family cannot be called an “institution” in the same sense in which, for example, political institutions, education and medicine are spoken of, since the family is a kind of “institution of institutions” that makes possible the very existence of the state and its subsystems.
The purpose of our meeting is to show the importance of protecting the family and traditional family values as a factor of national security and to propose specific measures in this direction that promote civilizational and demographic development.
In accordance with Decree of the President of the Russian Federation No. 875 dated 11/22/2023, in order to popularize state policy in the field of family protection and preservation of traditional family values, the year 2024 has been announced in the Russian Federation The year of the family.
Priorities in terms of the value system that family values are associated with:
- providing support for family education, promoting the formation of a responsible attitude of parents or legal representatives to the upbringing of children;
- providing conditions for improving the social, communicative and pedagogical competence of parents.

Yulia Lazutkina, Senator of the Russian Federation, made a welcoming speech to the participants of the meeting.
In particular, the Senator noted: “The family is the foundation of society, therefore, one of the main tasks of the state is to create favorable conditions for the family to perform its social functions related to upbringing, caring for children and disabled family members, ensuring family well-being, responsible parenthood and maintaining the social stability of each family…..
To ensure stable socio-economic growth and improve the standard of living of families with children, the development of the social sphere, the development of new, effective approaches to the provision of social services and assistance to various categories of citizens are of great importance.

Traditional family values, the family, as a model of building relationships, has fully absorbed the norms and requirements developed by the historical past, ensuring a full-fledged life of society and its ability to non-conflict coexistence. The traditional family forms the basis of harmonious interpersonal relations based on the material and spiritual sides of human existence…..”
She spoke about the projects of the Assembly of the Peoples of Eurasia dedicated to the preservation of family values, such as the International Scientific and Ethnographic project “Weddings of the Peoples of the World: Cultural Heritage” and the International Art Project “Angels of the World” (author and initiator N. Yatsenko)
